TRAPPISTE ALES - CHIMAY
Chimay is the best known of the Trappist breweries. The three interpretations of the Dubbel, Tripel and Quadrupel beer styles are bottled in the classic squat-style single-serve 330ml bottle, or, for the true beer connoisseur, in champagne-corked 750ml bottles. The latter (750ml bottles) will age and develop in flavour and character over a period of 2+ years.
As with all Trappiste Breweries, the profits from the marketing of these beers are used by the monks to fund the charitable works that they do around the world. Beers from a virtuous tradition whose character and flavour have remained true across the years.

Brewed in the Dubbel style, Chimay Red is a rich, characterful deep ruby-red coloured Trappiste ale. Abound with flavours of dates, plums, currants, nuts and dark sugars, well balanced with full hop bitterness, layered in its complexity, Chimay Red is delicious with steaks, red meats, casseroles, or simply to enjoy by itself.
Chimay Premiere is the 750ml bottled version of this beer. In this format (as with all of the champagne corked Chimay beers in 750ml bottles), the beer can be laid down (cellared), and its complexity and depth of character will continue to develop over time.
