Reddish-brown in colour, Rodenbach has aromas of subtle balsamic vinegar sour berries. Red grape, currants, pinot noir wine, apples and sweet cherries are all in evidence in this complex beer. A blend of 25% young beer, and 75% aged beer (two year aged) – the oak aging in this latter constituent is the source of the incredibly fruit flavours in Rodenbach. Described by Michael Jackson as ‘the most refreshing beer in the world’ – a beer that simply has to be tasted to understand how true this statement is.
